$3 - 45 : Calling with AK
Another situation where lately I've found myself: I really don't like a call here with a drawing hand but after a raise I'm basically committed and I got good pot odds.
Can you check my line? Re: $3 - 45 : Calling with AK
I dont even care if I dont have a fold button on this hand...
You can just open shove for value I guess if you want it to fold around and snag just the small pot of 150 that is currently in the pot... although I think this screams AK... besides I think you should want to get it all in with someone here... the small blind doesnt have many chips either and could definatly have a weaker A... if nothing else AQ is atleast in his shoving range... |

Re: $3 - 45 : Calling with AK
With an M of 10, the SB shouldn't be all that desperate. I'd like to hear about what ranges to assign to SB, and the BB given that it seems it should be tighter. Sometimes one will have a weaker ace, but the other a smaller pair. Still getting odds to call though, unless its AA/KK the BB is flat calling 1/2 his stack for. |

Re: $3 - 45 : Calling with AK
When I made the call, I put the SB on a strong ace/ middle pair or simply on a squeezing: I was concerned more on the BB calls because e saw a raise and a shove in front so he could have a tighter hand.
Anyway basically I think I made a coinflip here... |

[/ QUOTE ] You've got to be [censored] kidding me. This complete nonsense. "A drawing hand". Come on man. Go to pokerstove or two dimes and run some numbers. AK is the nuts. You'd have to be really deep to even consider folding AK. And in a 3/45, folding AK preflop is just flat retarded. People shove regularly for 30BBs with A7o. [ QUOTE ] Can you check my line? [/ QUOTE ] Sure. Shove the FIRST time it gets to you. You have 9BBs. |
