I don't know if there #2 even if they won, they really haven't looked that great all year long. They've struggled with medicore teams. This USC team really isn't that good. If you watched any of todays game you would have noticed that. I guess from beating UM last year convincingly it seemed like they were good. Too bad UM was overrated and USC really isn't that elite this year.

Saying things like "USC isn't that elite this year" is kind of silly. Granted that this was a terrible loss, but they still are the most "talented" team in the nation (by a fair amount).

Depending on who leaves early this year, there's a chance that USC could have 7 defensive players taken in the first round of the NFL draft. Think about that for a second. We're clearly not the best team in the country right now. We have problems with our schemes and we turn the ball over too much and we get too many penalties.

That, however, is not the same as saying this isn't an "elite team." There's a very good probability that this USC team will produce over 1/3 of the players selected in the first round of next year's draft.

People at USC don't usually leave early because they want a chance to shine on their own and USC is a pretty sweet place, but if Maualuga, Cushing, Kyle Moore, Patrick Turner, etc. all decided to leave early instead of return for their senior year, there's no question we'd get to 10.

I don't think we'll actually get 10, just pointing out we have the talent to get to 10. There's no other team in the country that has the potential to get to 5.
