Default 72z Steak Challenge

So a local steakhouse has this deal where if you can eat a 72z steak with an appetizer in under an hour u get it for free(50$ value cdn).

I tried doing it 18 months ago, I devoured the first 1/2 of the steak in 15min but afterwards I had to take two dumps and could barely breathe. I only ended up eating a bout 2/3 of it. Ive eaten 5 10+ oz steaks over a night several times, so I know I'm capable of doing this. Im 6'3'' 185, might not be the biggest guy but meh. Last time I went the waiter suggested eating family sized lazagna several days in a row to expand ur stomach to get ready for it.

Anyone have any tips or am I doomed to failure?

edit sorry im a [censored] it was 72oz

Saylors Steak house here in Portland has a 76ozer deal. I am 6'6" and 315lbs but I'm too chicken to try it. Mainly because puking is not a favorite pastime of mine. However with the proper motivation (monetary, obv) I would be willing to give it a shot.

Is that 72 oz. pre or post cooking? Get it well done to burn all the fat off, might be able knock it down to about 35 oz. get a salad for the side, and eat away. Remember, don't eat the bread.

i've eaten steak from coast to coast with taters and toast.

This man has died of meat poisoning.... probably from another restaurant.

It's a steak the size of a boogie board, sir.
