2/4 - Facing the double c/r
First session back in about 3 weeks. Villain is Poly_Baller and is a regular 30/20 in the 2/4 game. I've 3bet him a few times in the session so far PF and he hasn't played back. He did take a half stack from me when I pot controlled to the river with two pair vs. his turned straight.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) MP ($971.40) CO ($394) Button ($232.85) SB ($485.30) BB ($300.80) Hero ($475) Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero raises to $14, 1 fold, CO calls $14, 1 fold, SB calls $12, 1 fold. Does anyone like the turn bet? There's enough combo draws there that I'd like to charge and the K doesn't improve him at all unless he has KcQc or KcTc that decided not to 3bet preflop. And even in those cases, I'm not sure if he's c/r'ing again with it. I've been willing to b/f this turn before but I don't know if Poly knows I can make that sort of laydown. |

Re: 2/4 - Facing the double c/r
i'm wondering why you wouldn't just get it in on the flop? there are plenty of draws out there and i think you have good equity against his range, even when all-in. i doubt he has a big combo draw on the turn since most ppl bet/3bet it on the flop, so i'd probably fold. plus, he can't expect you to fold there very often given your line (QQ is the weakest hand you have here, pretty much, which puts a ton of stronger hands, sets, 2p, AA, AKcc in your range)

meh fold it, i think you have to bet the turn though given the board.

Re: 2/4 - Facing the double c/r
this is a [censored] spot but I hate bet calling or betfolding this turn so I would just check behind. It sucks to give a free card vs a draw, but I would guess poly is double barreling any decent draw here? idk i dont know his game all that well, but he does seem very aggressive. Im not gonna say anything else cause i was at the table, but I do hate the turn bet

Re: 2/4 - Facing the double c/r
call. He's doing this with a club draw type a lot. Also, J-x hh is also possible. However, I think he has a club draw, and some sort of straight draw here really often. 109cc or maybe hands like QJhh and 10Jhh.

Re: 2/4 - Facing the double c/r
Seriously, how can you bet this turn without a plan.
This absolutely has to be a bet/snap call or a check with these stacks..... |

Re: 2/4 - Facing the double c/r
I think that not only trying to figure out my hand, but figuring out what I put you on and why I would make this play makes this turn a lot easier. I'll wait for more posts before I really explain what I mean, but I think that sentence was pretty easy to understand.

Re: 2/4 - Facing the double c/r
shove the flop here please
once you get to the turn you cant bet/fold. its either a bet/call or a check behind and i prefer checking behind as played on the flop |
