Default Code Poker Statement - Leaving US Market

Dear All,

The new US law has prompted some sites to announce plans to abandon the US market in coming days and unfortunately CodePoker, following its main counterparty’s decision, has no choice but to also close all US accounts on Friday 13th 2006.

We deeply regret this decision as our will was to continue to provide all of our US customers with money ring games and tournaments.

All funds in US accounts will be returned to US players through the original deposit method used as long as this option remains possible. Otherwise, the most convenient payment method given the actual situation will be chosen for each US customer.

Unfortunately, we won’t be allowed to pay the October 50% bonus on profits to US players at the end of the month as all accounts will be closed by then.

All non-US players will not be affected by those decisions and all affiliate deals remain effective for non-US customers.

We will continue to lobby for an express carve-out for online poker and for US player right to play this game from the privacy of their home and computer.

Sincerely,

CodePoker

Didn't notice Mega's thread - just delete this one to avoid confusion.

I'm curious if anyone has received their money from Code Poker yet. I have e-mailed a couple of times. As of Friday, the 20th, I still do not have my funds in hand. I got this response on Wednesday:

Thank you for emailing Code Poker.

Due to the recent high volumes of withdrawals from the United States,
the withdrawals are slightly delayed and we apologise for the
inconvenience.

Rest assured that your withdrawal shall be processed soon and once
processed you shall be notified via email.

We thank you for your continued patience in this regard.

Should you require any further information or assistance, feel free to
contact our friendly helpdesk. We are available 24 hours a day and 7
days a week for your convenience.

Kindest regards,

Gary

Not yet. I do know of someone who received his cashout on Thursday though. In my case I had to send them some a copy of DL and utility bill. Since I'd moved since I set up my account, my utility bill was from a different address and this has slowed me down a bit according to support.
