What\'s the most useful or best golf training aide you\'ve bought.
None really for me as they've all been gimmicky. Don't know if it counts but the 2-ball putter has saved me probably 2-3 putts a round.

My first thought was, "a shag bag."
But that's a smart ars answer.... but I've bought a bunch, and all have served some purpose, but none stands out as the best. |

I have always said the Momentus is one of the best training tools out there, but I haven't payed a lot of attention to what is currently out there.

a heavy club. swing it 100 times a day in the off season and it does a great job building up golf muscles.

Re: What\'s the most useful or best golf training aide you\'ve bought.
You can by weighted clubs, but unless you intend on hitting balls with one, you can just make one. I had an old dunlop circa 1990 driver in the basement and drilled a hole in the top and filled it with nuts and bolts and duct-taped the hole.
Works fine for the golf muscles, helping reinforce the slot, and also for warming up before hitting balls. |

Re: What\'s the most useful or best golf training aide you\'ve bought.
You can take it from a guy who teaches 10 lessons daily, there are good and bad training aids, however, it is necessary that once you find a good one you use it correctly.
For example, the medicus, the one that breaks down if you make an incorrect swing, I can keep that club in-tact and make a horrible move, I can also make a text-book swing and break it. Weighted clubs are great to loosen up with but they won't do too much for your game. I like balance disks a lot and this device called the power-angle pro. I'd post a link about what it is and how to use it but I'd probably get flamed for Spam as it's from my companies' website. |
