Default 6.50 QQ Lots of Action

The villans in this hand hadn't really shown any play out of the ordinary. Also SB insta called if that makes a difference to anyone.

If it weren't for SB, I'd insta-call here. You're very likely ahead of CO (he at best has AK), but with SB flat-calling the all-in after the action so far... I dunno what you're against. Maybe two big aces? That'd be nice - makes you a little more than a coinflip to win due to discounted outs. In a $6.5 this early on, I'd have a lot of trouble folding QQ here. Call and make note of the players afterwards.

I can't get away from QQ pre-flop in a $6.50. I push just so MP1 knows he's playing for all his chips if he calls.

I call this at a 6.50. JJ is probably a fold.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Would you also call with AK suited or not in this same spot?

Everyone seems to want to call because this is a 6.5, but I fold because it's a 6.5.

If you are ahead, you might only be barely ahead...and in a 6.5, you are sure to find more great spots to get your money in. You are surely better than most of your opponents (if you are posting and reading these forums), so you can outplay them without going all in preflop in level 2 against 2-3 other opponents with 3rd nuts.

The fact that you are already deep definately makes it very close though (in my opinion).

you're giving away a ton of equity by not calling here. at the 6.50s you'll see 66-TT, AJ, AQ, AK here far more than you'll see KK/AA. You're QQ is going to be way ahead most of the time and any Ax hands are sometimes going to be up against other Ax hands reducing the number of overcard outs left against you.

i was playing 6.50s two weeks ago, and i saw plenty of identical situations vs Ax vs Ax, since most of them love to smoothcall their AA. Also vv likely QQ vs 22-JJ vs 22-JJ or QQ vs 22-JJ vs Ax. I laid down JJ in this exact spot in a 27 today and watched A9 lose a rave vs 66. I def call this in a 6.50.
