Re: How dumb are you? (Riddle)
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I hope I word this right... You have 2 buckets, A and B. A has exactly 1 gallon of coffee. B has exactly 1 gallon of milk. You measure out exactly 1 cup of milk from B and pour it into A. You now measure out exactly 1 cup of the coffee/milk mixture in A and pour that into B. Both buckets are now back to exactly 1 gallon of liquid. Which bucket contains more of its original liquid? [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ]there is not enough love for this picture so strategically put in the middle of serious answers, was not expecting this im lolling at the moment |

Re: How dumb are you? (Riddle)
While I understand the mystery is buried in mathematics somewhere, I've never quite understood why the line of addition/subtraction results in $29.
We have $30 to start. The 3 guys end up paying $27 to the hotel and $2 to the flunky. Total = $29 I know it has something to do with mixing debits and credits, but I've never quite understood why it doesn't work. |
