The players in my home game decided to try and send one of us to the an event at the Rio this year. We did this by playing the Sunday tournament each week at the local card room and pooling our winnings. We ended up with about $4900 and decided to toss in the rest and send one guy to the WSOP.
He made the final table of a $5000 event and all drove over to Las Vegas to watch the final table, only to find he was playing inside of that tent and only two of us could get in to watch him play.
I have been wondering ever since why more players didn't object to that damn tent arrangement (other than Matusow). Finally, I found an article about the whole stupid idea on
www.pokerblog.com but I wonder why there hasn't been more of an uproar about this?
Am I wrong, is this a good thing for poker?
