He only has to be bluffing/betting light about 10 percent of the time for the river call to be correct. I'd say that is true of almost anyone who plays in this particular game with a few notable exceptions. He can easily decide to bet the scare card with a pair he intended to call with anyway, hoping I might fold something better. I agree the bet doesn't look good for my hand, but I don't have to be best that often to justify calling.

Yeah, I would also like discussion on this point. I make this raise sometimes, but it seems like whenever I post a hand where I limp with a suited connector after a few limpers, it's an automatic raise for you. Is this the case regardless of who limped? How many limpers? 3 or more? Two?
I'd like to hear your rationale and criteria - fwiw, I agree it is a good raising spot but not all the time and I don't see a huge problem with calling. Jeff |

RESULTS
Thanks for the comments and more welcome - after I called the river, the limper said "your 8 is good" and rolled over J7s so I won. More comments welcome.
