Serious question: I've used an Anser-style putter for a long time and currently use a White Hot #1. What do the Scotty's give you? Is it something only a better player will benefit from? (I'm not considering buying one, just curious.)

Putters are a matter of personal taste.
If you find one you like, you're way ahead of most...

Camerons are very nice putters, but so are many others.
I also love the feel of an Odyssey.
I've putted more with an old Anser than anything else.

I've had a Newport Two oil can finish with the brass face (similar to the one in JTrout's pics) for eight years now, and the only thing I'd exchange it for without hesitation is a brand new, mint condition version of the same putter. I've had it so long I wouldn't consider putting with anything else.

That said, Trout, you gotta clean the oxidation from that thing! Motor oil soak, brasso the face, motor oil soak, 3in1 oil finish, man! Do it every few rounds!
