Interesting point about Barry's interview is that he makes it sound like his book is a decent book. Barry's book is more a get rich from the poker craze book as compared to legitimate writing. I would love it if he wrote a book on Poker.

My god this guy is an ugly mofo. Looks like a monkey/an ape. I guess the Asian chicks think all the "white" guys look the same. Barry realized long ago that its +EV to go after Asian tail. Smart guy!

I thought his book was really good. I don't get why people don't like it, have heard this opinion from a few people now...

although i dont feel he is the best player in the world, he is certainly the player i respect most

[/ QUOTE ]

He's up there amongst the best, imho, if you consider his results in the big game, tournaments, etc. He seems to be very well respected amongst almost all the other players too, from what I've heard in interviews. Not just because of what he does for charity, but also for his playing abilities.

Discussing who is THE best player is pretty useless, imo. But don't let me stop y'all

Barry also gave a pretty funny and candid interview on the Ante Up podcast a few weeks back. You can find it listed under recent episodes about 4 or 5 shows back:

Love Barry, did not love his book. I think it appeals to people who have more leaks in their lives.

lol, for some reason, Barry just comes off as a good person. Part of it is his charity stuff, and maybe the other part is what he's learned at the poker table - appear friendly, etc, but he seems like a decent human being, especially compared to other poker players.
