Oh yeah, that reminds me of a couple more shows with genius comedy moments:

The Young Ones
Ren & Stimpy

Great programming. Too bad we never got to see the boss; I was hoping it was a monkey picking bananas with people's name on them.

I'd throw Arrested Development in there too. I guess that's semi-well-known though.

Man vs. Wild on Discovery Channel is awesome. It stars a guy named Bear who has himself dropped off in an isolated and dangerous location (like the African Jungle or in the Arctic) with just a knife and a flint and he has to find a way to get back to civilization/rescued.

[/ QUOTE ]

this sounds great, will check out, thanks.

Man, the first time I turned to this show, within the first minute he had speared a salmon in Alaska, and immediately taken a big ass chunk (raw, obviously) out of the side of the fish.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you enjoy Man vs. Wild, check out Survivorman. It's Discovery Channel programming as well. Les Stroud, the host, spent two years living "primally" with his wife and now he goes around the world to various conditions for a week at a time with no camera crew. FWIW, Man vs. Wild carries a production crew at all times. Survivorman has to lug 55 pounds of camera equipment, as he films himself...

Although I can't really argue against Man vs. Wild seeing how that guy willing walked on thin ice to show you what to do when you fall through into freezing waters:

"OK, well getting out of the water alive is well and good... Many people will die simply because of the shock of falling into freezing waters. So I've not died yet."

It was a monkey spinning a wheel with people's names on it. Fox put the remaining episodes online shortly after it was cancelled.

Also agree on The Critic with Jon Lovitz. Really funy stuff.
Dr. Katz was a good show too.

[/ QUOTE ]

Dr. Katz was hilarious, intelligent and original. def. seconded. But it probably was a hit, otherwise it would've never reached Europe, no?
