Default huge shoves late in tournies

I recently placed 2nd in the Sunday night 100+9 mtt. The tourny had a lot of strong players at the last few tables, inc. Zangbezan24 and yellowsub86.

When the play was down to about 15 players, yellowsub86 open pushed from the button with K7o, with an effective stack of about 25BB. (I doubled with aces in the LB). I know people like to bully near the bubble and all, but isn't this a little extreme?

When we were 6 handed, the chip leader pushed UTG with 55 for a ton... I was in second and ran the race with AK. This guy's OPR said 99.2% I think, so he can't be terrible.

Are these super bully pushes standard late in tournies, or were these opponents getting a little too nutty that day?

25bb sounds a little much to push with imo, even first in from the button near the FT.

yah that was a terrible shove by me, and one i would have regretted even if no one had woken up, just too many tables, and not thinking one hand
