Re: give me quick plo tourney tips
[ QUOTE ]
last one. i raise KK88 utg. 2 calls. flop JJ6r. are you firing here? i checked and then ck folded when another 6 peeled and dude potted it. bad? [/ QUOTE ] You generally don't raise much in early position with deep money. With real shallow money, of course pot KK88. KK88 is not that strong particularly unsuited, and I would generally limp it in early position. |

ty betgo. here are a few hands. what are you doing with these in ep or mp in an unopened pot. 9c9hQh7d Ad6d5c5s KcTc6h7h [/ QUOTE ] These are all junk hands, worth a complete in the SB. BTW, I can advise, but I got knocked out near the end of the first hour in the PLHE part. |

Re: give me quick plo tourney tips
I would say that KT67 was definately the best of the 3.

Two holdem hands do not make an Omaha hand. Also, you want to be drawing to a nut flush. AQJ, QJ9, J98, 985, 854, and 543 makes 6 straights. JT98 is 20 straights. The hand may be playable to limp behind in late position. A655s has some value for a suited ace, but low pairs are practically worthless and lead to losing hands. 987, 874, 743, and 432 makes 4 straights. Really not playable. |

[ QUOTE ] AA = nuts [/ QUOTE ] so you're reraising pre always w AA regardless of your other 2? [/ QUOTE ] No more than I would a double-suited wrap hand. I would always reraise a strong AA or a double-suited AA. The shallower the money gets, and especially in a tournament, I'm more inclined to reraise a bare AA because more people will get it in with bare KK or even QQ. |

Re: give me quick plo tourney tips
One tiny addition: once the stacks get shallow, don't instafold AAAx. You're a slight favorite over anything, obviously, but it's so easy to just see the trips and fold when this is actually a pretty good preflop shoving hand.

Re: give me quick plo tourney tips
One of my favorite plays especially in rebuys is if you have a less than medium stack, kinda smaller stack,
and the table goes nuts raise, reraise, call type of thing, consider calling with a good gambling hand like JT86 double suited, the emphasis on double suited. |
