i've always liked lil wayne. he's usually entertaining and he has some decent skills, but i did not realize that A LOT of people have him ranked very highly in their top emcee list, often putting him in the top 3 or so, and i am like, wtf? can somebody please tell me why they think lil wayne is so good?

just as a fwiw, some of his cameos lately have been utter trash, some of the worst verses i've heard in a long time esp from a "major star."

I used to feel the same way you did. Download the discography w/all the mixtapes. He's rediculously prolific at a really high level.

im a fan of wayne but i admit that hes one of the "hottest out" because his output is 100x the volume of anyone else lately

He was better when he was 13. Now sometime he just sounds ridiculous. His verse on the first Chamillionaire CD is what made me wish someone cut out his tongue.

i'm the opposite,i never really got why people were going on about lil wayne till i downloaded da drought 3,its incredible,i gather his mixtapes are why people are ranking him top 3,his guest verses are more for business or whatever,though i have heard some great guest spots by him too.

i must have a look for decication 2 so...
