You read the monitor FAQ, right? When you googled your monitor, did you find it could or couldn't support 1600x1200? If so, then it's great. If not, then it's probably worth you buying a different monitor.

Like SamIAm said, the default size for tables on most sites is 800x600, so you'll have to resize your tables for them to fit vertically in 1050 pixels. That said, if you play on sites that have resizable tables, this really shouldn't be a problem.
Also, you may want to check out the E228WFP, a 22-inch model, which they just marked down to $269 (till the end of the month, I think).
