There's obv lots of dangerous areas and places where you just cant go, but its like that with any city in the world. Gangs and stuff has calmed down a lot because the public has sort of taken the law into their own hands recently and lets just say they a little more harsh than the police [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img], Llike not even a week ago this group of people (mainly muslims) called PAGAD (people against gangsterism and drugs) barracaded a whole neighbourhood that is one of the places I mentioned you cant go, and basically shot and burned gangsters and drugdealers right there in the street. I can only speak for what happens in Cape Town tho, other cities are different.

Yeah I can imagine, even when I went for my last interview to get my visa, people were there in like sweatpants and stuff lol.

The interview was like basically talking to a bankteller behind the glass except for the long ass wait.

What kind of visa did you get in on, and from what country? How long did the whole process take?
