Re: CHAOS at the 2007 WSOP: Game Thread
well night 2 i really could only throw an Ace, King or the 9. Throwing Q,J or 10 is the same thing as throwing the king basically. After how we won on night 1 i didnt think the evils would risk throwing the 9 again in an attempt to somehow catch us with an ace...seeing it didnt work night 1. So i could either take the completely safe route with the king or play to win with the ace...so i went ace.
Night 3 i wont get into since apparently the evils never did throw but i had a line of reasoning there as well. |

[ QUOTE ] Um, village losing with their A is a village loss like every single time, as Negreanu was the poker player and Ivey was the king. [/ QUOTE ] good, even more of a reason to play 9 [/ QUOTE ] No, even more of a reason to throw a King |

Re: CHAOS at the 2007 WSOP: Game Thread
Durron is right. With the situation the evils were in, there was absolutely no reason to play anything other than a 9. I tend to think the village was in the same situation. The loss screws you far more than the win helps.
Trust me, I cursed you out soundly for that one. |

Re: CHAOS at the 2007 WSOP: Game Thread
I know, I'm not saying by any means that there was a dominant/dominated strategy, since it is a RPS-type leveling game.
I'm just pointing out that the village has just as much reason to be risk-averse and play a low card as the evils do. |
