no read here. is the turn a easy b/f or is a check good here??

lol i completely missed that there was a straight on the board at the river. in that case the river bet is horrible methinks. i was thinking it was just a 4 straight on the board and thus i might get some value from 2 pair hands. DOH.

anyways, i'm more interested in turn then

except maybe if he calls and bets the river and owns your ass like my step-uncle used to

Looks like a good place to check. If a Jack comes you could be golden, especially a non [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Jack.

I think it's better to risk giving a free card here than combined possibilities of betting with the worst hand / getting semibluff c/r'd off the best hand / losing the chance to improve to the best hand for free.

Also note that if Villain does not have you beat he will often fold here unless he has a [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] which diminishes the value of a bet.
