Are mods removing my avatar?

Simple question. Out of support for Barack Obama I want to have a picture of him as my avatar. Although when I have it form more than a couple of hours it is removed. I get no PM from any mod. If it's against the rules i'll stop doing it. I would just like some type of confirmation of what's going on.

The mods don't want you to jinx him like you did to Grossman.

Hey, I said they would make it to the superbowl. My location/avatar was correct.

And now someone took away the avatar and I can't put it back.

Rehost the image and see if that stops the problem.

Agreed. I don't think you are supposed to steal the BBC's bandwidth.
Also, Photoshop/Gimp it to a square shape so you don't make him look thinner than he is.

Well, in the last five minutes the other Obama pick was removed. I went to the avatar part of my homepage and the link had been removed. I tried to put the same one back but it would not let me. So I have just put a new one there. I'll just keep doing this until someone comes out and tells me I can't have a pic of Obama as my avatar.

I seriously doubt any mod is deleting it. The mod of the politics forum uses John Kerry as his avatar.
