Default Brag: Asked to apply for blue key national honor society

Beat: I am not really sure if this thing is worth my time. Has anyone else ever heard of it or joined anything like this? Is it worth my time get into this?
Variance: Might need some get get past the application process.

Been invited to some before, never joined one. Never felt they were worth my time, would never use their resources, etc. If you feel it will be that beneficial on your resume, weigh the costs (if any) is what I would do.

I was in Golden Key NHS. My parents paid the $ for it the first time around, havent paid a dime since. Didnt really get much out of it except a line that I suppose looks good on the resume

Yup I am sure it's Blue Key. Probably the red haired stepchild to the golden key. It cost $50 and I have to do volunteer stuff. If it helps a little bit on a resume it will be worth it.

I just wonder if there is anyone one these boards who is in a position to look at resumes and hire people. If there is I wonder what comes across their mind if they see something like this on a resume.

Same here...paid the fee, got a nice t-shirt, never had any involvement with them again. Needed more stuff on my resume at the time, though.
