Default Transfer between US Pokersites?

Not sure if this has been discussed before (search came up empty) but is there any reason (legal?) why Pokersites that allow US based customers do not offer money transfer between sites - such as PokerStars, Full Tit Poker, Bodog, UB and AP?
These sites must realize that many players play on more than just their site, and it would save a lot of hassle for the customers and fees for the poker sites if they set up some method of transferring money between the sites ???

Same concept as you can transfer money from your account at one Bank to another.

Yes the poker sites are competitors, but so are the banks no?

Ultimate Bet and Absolute offer this.

What would poker sites gain by doing this? Making it hard for players to move funds between sites keeps you playing with them. It would force sites to be much more aggressive much the way cell phone number mobility make cell phone companies offer better deals.

The other issue is that this would greatly increase fraud.

1) It's against the anti-money-laundering regulations of many gaming
jurisdictions, including Isle of Man, Gibraltar and Antigua.

2) Fraud and chargebacks.

3) Sites pay hefty hidden fees to accept your deposit, but do not pass them
along to you with the understanding that you'll give that site play. No
site wants to take your deposit, pay the fee, and then see you play that
money elsewhere.

Many sportsbooks are actually the same company or at least owned by the same people.
