Default Random facts from your favorite movies...

Shawshank Redemption:
Kevin Costner turned down the role of Andy Dufresne, a decision he strongly regretted later on.

Hoosiers:

The scene with Jimmy and Coach Dale talking while Jimmy shot baskets was filmed in one take. Maris Valainis said that he "wasn't even listening to him." "I was just concentrating on making them and I made one and they kept going in."

They ran out of funding for Monty Python and the Holy Grail so that is why it ends so suddenly.

You know K-Pax was written for Will Smith? Never actually saw it, though.

About 1/3 of the furst Back to the Future was originally filmed with Eric Stolz playing the role of Marty McFly. Michael J. Fox had originally turned down the role because of Family Ties filming, but the producers were able to change his mind after they became dissatisfied with Stolz's performance.

Another Goodfellas one:

Tommy's mom is played by Martin Scorsese's mom. And in her scene, the painting with the two dogs in the rowboat ("One dog goes one way, the other dog goes the other way, and this guy's sayin', 'Whadda ya want from me?'") was painted by the mother of Nicholas Pileggi, who wrote the book the movie was based on.
