Almost none of it tbh.

Devils' defense right now is terrible. Their offense will get clicking eventually but their defense can't transition the puck. While having Gomez around for that would be nice, he too often carried the puck through 4 guys only to give it right to the 5th.

The Devils are probably not a playoff team this year, but if they sign a defensemen in the offseason, they're looking at a very good team heading into 08-09.
