Default I think I dislocated my knee earlier today.. Whats My Plan?

I was lieing down on my bed in an awkard position with my leg overhaning a part of my bed. I was about to get up then I realized my right leg was pretty much limp from my knee down. After a few minutes of oww this hurts and moving several positions I heard a little snap. I could finally move right leg and bend my right knee.

Should I worry about this at all? This has never happened to me and it hurt a bit for few minutes I couldnt move my bottom part of right leg below my knee for a few minutes.

amputation is the only answer. but then when your phantom knee starts acting up you're really screwed.

That's weird. If you had dislocated it, I would think you would've felt pain when it was hanging. I don't even think it's possible to dislocate a knee without tearing ligaments.
I've torn both my ACLs and it doesn't sound like that.

Maybe it just fell asleep because of pressure from hanging so weird?

Dislocation doesn't involve any tearing of ligaments.

Sounds like you'll be fine, go to bed and if it hurts in the morning see a doctor.

A knee dislocation almost always has severe tears of the ligaments and sometimes has breaks in the bones of the knee.

I doubt op dislocated his knee, though. If he did, he should go to the hospital. Now.

Exactly. The ligaments are there to keep the knee from dislocating. When I had a torn ACL, my knee dislocated once when I was running around with my dog. It kills. I think the OP would've been in more pain if it had been dislocated.
