5-10 NL I have a boat... but I can only beat a bluff here
1st post on 2+2 so I hope it sounds ok, I heard about this from the cardrunners videos and how they always say "this guys a 2+2'er so I'm gonna try and stay away from him". 6 max 5-10 nl on Full Tilt, I have no reads at all because I usually play smaller stakes and this is like my 3rd rotation. I don't have the HH but its pretty easy to convey what I'm trying to ask here:
Im in SB with pocket nines and a $900 stack, villain has me covered UTG limps UTG+1 folds CO raises to $45 Button calls Hero calls BB calls UTG calls (lot of ppl to see flop in raised pot i know) Flop 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] $225 in pot Hero bets $110 Folded to preflop raiser who raises to $280 Hero calls $170 Turn 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Pot $785 Hero checks, CO checks River 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero checks CO bets $600 Hero?!? |

Re: 5-10 NL I have a boat... but I can only beat a bluff here
Really hard to say. It's a ridiculously bad spot to bluff for CO, but at the same time you played the hand quite strangely, he probably thinks you are a random fish because you just started playing this high and played the hand in a very non-standard fashion. He could be value betting less, and would have probably bet the turn with better.
I could see calling, but the problem is a lot of people will check back that turn with JJ+ because they think it's pot control or something. |

I would call here, i am finding it a bit odd that he would check behidn on the turn with TT+
Although bluffing in this spot isnt exactly the smartest thing to do. |

Re: 5-10 NL I have a boat... but I can only beat a bluff here
villain raising your flop donk ( which i hate btw ) with that many players in the pot is the key here imo. him checking turn istn showing weakness, and its not necessarilly a pot control thing but setting up a profitable river situation because people get confused and call the river bet with 55-99. without any history this is a pretty trivial fold.
