Only going to get worse. More slot parlors are opening in neighboring states, new casinos in Mass and NY in the works, expansions at CT casinos, etc. AC casinos also have to have plans submitted this September to wall off the smoking areas. Donald Trump's been mouthing off and now the city of AC is talking about 100% non-smoking floor space.

Borgata hasn't had losing months until just recently. Down last month too. The trend is downward.

you posted this sky is falling attitude last month too...but I'm still trying to figure out what relevant point you're trying to get across.

obvious fact #1: the slot donks will probably play wherever is closest to their home, and if applicable, where they can smoke as well.

obvious fact #2: there are virtually no slot donks in this forum.

Interesting use of "losing months".
Maybe "less profitable" would be more appropriate, unless you are stating that they actually lost money.

Since the revenue drop AC-wide seems to be in slots (table games went up), maybe the availability of slots elsewhere is hurting AC. Or maybe the higher gas prices have kept the slot-nicks home.

LV has gone through slowdowns. I think declaring AC 'dead' is a bit premature.

Using the term "losing months" is more of an indication of OP's lack of understanding of finance (and its terminology) than anything else. The attachment says only one thing about Borgata's monthly revenue: that it was less than the same month last year. You certainly can't conclude that Borgata has had "losing months" or even that they were less profitable. You can say that they took in less money than the same month last year and nothing else.

Well, given that poker revenues are very little of the total gross, and probably at a much higher labor investment, what is your point?

There is no point to original thread -- Posting one month of stats and calling it a "decline". Anyone who thinks those "official" stats reflect what the joints really make, needs their head examined. BTW a new joint is being built in the midst of the "AC decline".
