Re: Wedding with 2 best men?
[ QUOTE ]
The groom is a friend of mine, but the best friend in the OP is a really good friend of mine. He told me, no scrippas allowed and that the groom has basically planned the whole "bachelor party" himself. Stop the insanity! He also said that the groom told him over a year ago that he wanted to marry this chick and he wanted him to be his best man. Now i'm sure he loves his brother, but they are not close at all. This is basically a ploy by the bride-to-be, cause she doesn't like the grooms #1 choice for BM. [/ QUOTE ] RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

1) Best man - you need to make sure your best man understands what a real bachelor party is so you don't end up with some gey jack+jill. [/ QUOTE ] If you have any friends that would allow this or even do this you should never talk to them again. While the best man does most of the planning for the bachelor party all the groomsmen should be involved enough to make sure it does not suck. [ QUOTE ] 2) Open bar [/ QUOTE ] This is pretty obvious. Another key is to be sure the hall does not close the bar for dinner. I also was sure to have every hall give me "samples" of the food on the menu so I could choose properly. |

Re: Wedding with 2 best men?
Having two best men is like not having one at all. Do you see why?

I plan on having two best men at my wedding (and one of them is a female, heh).

Re: Wedding with 2 best men?
OP,
A related thing that is sorta lame imo is when a brother of the bride or sister of the groom gets added to the wedding party of the person their brother/sister is marrying even when they are not very close to that person. I've been in wedding parties where three of the groomsmen are 10+year super close friends of the groom and then the fourth is the bride's brother who the groom barely knows. I think that's weird and sorta lame. |

Re: Wedding with 2 best men?
Does this wedding also have two grooms? That's the only way it would be gayer.

Re: Wedding with 2 best men?
What do you guys think about a bride having a male in her bridal party? My fiancee and her male cousin basically grew up as bro and sis, and are very close, and he is going to be her Man of Honour.
Would it make a difference to you if he was gay? |

Re: Wedding with 2 best men?
This is the first I ever heard about not being able to have multiple best men. It's retarded not to be able to have two best men. Must be some european thing.

Re: Wedding with 2 best men?
No big deal imo. I'm one-half of two best men, date TBA. We're the "above average men."
What it means is: A: Groom will be taken on an adventure trek that will be interrupted halfway by every guy he knows shooting paintballs at him while he's belayed on a rock wall. That'll teach his ass to have two above average men. B: At the Spearmint Rhino, he will get quads instead of doubles. An interesting tradeoff, and one I might make myself. |
