Default PF Time Pot Scenario

I have been talking to another 2p2er a bit about proper preflop strategy for time pots. The game is 10/20, and $25 gets taken out of any pot over $120.

You have KQo UTG, and it is a time pot. The table is very passive, and quite loose. UTG+1 just entered the table and posted the BB.

Your move?

If you say fold, what is the worst K hand you'd raise with here? Suited A? PP?

How much do you guys tighten up, or would you think it's fairly irrelevant if your opponents play so poorly that you could easily get 4+ people to the flop in a raised pot?

if the table is playing tighter pf cause of time.. then you should loosen up a tad but utg i would tighten up...

if it's its not affecting pf play and it's normally loose then you should tighten up...

KQ i would ditch... AQs/AK/99 from utg usually in time pots...

that's how i normally play it...

Stay out of this time pot. Time pot makes sence if the charge that being taken out of the pot is roughly the size of 1 SB. Just pay your own time.

Either I'm not interpreting your post correctly or your not interpreting a time pot correctly

I think he's saying

1. Fold
2. OP should pay his own time in this game bc time is terrible in a game this size.

I think he's saying that having a pot where the rake is greater than 1 SB makes for a crappy holdem game and therefore OP should just pay his own time and raise it up here.

All i was saying is if you have an option to stay out of that time pot and pay your own time you should stay out. If you must be in the time pot then AA-JJ is playable but not much else unless the whole table understands it and tightens up and you can steal blinds with all kind of crap.
