Default 2007 PGA Tour / Fed-X Cup Thread

Hey, everyone talk about golf cause I like to read it.

Fed-X Cup? Pffff, go away.

Tiger opens his 2007 season today with a PGA Tour Stroke Play streak of 6 wins. +1 after 2.

Will Tiger the father be as good as Tiger the son? When is the baby due? Close to a major? Will this effect his performance?

Right now at the Buick Invitational, David Duval is -2 after 2 holes! Will he finish the day +2 or +5? Poor guy.

Daly lost his card right? Only sponsor exceptions for him this year? I am sure he will get all that he wants being the croud draw that he his, but will he earn his card back?

Phil who?

Very happy that Golf Channel got most of the coverage this year, love that they show at least three hours and they also show replays. That and I love me some Faldo.

This Brandt Snedeker guy is -8 through 7, birdied every hole and eagled one.

Playing the North, obv. Even before they fancied up the South course for next year's Open there was a discrepancy in scores. Now it's just huge. You'll see a lot of 74-62 combos these first two days.

Snedeker makes the turn at -9, not bad.

The only two things I'm sure of so far:

- The FedEx cup sounds kinda dumb..

- Kids take up a lot of time.

As independent contractors, PGA Pros would be right not to give a crap about the whole thing. However, $10M is roughly the equivalent of winning ten Tour events and a whole year's prize money for Tiger. The very short list of guys like Tiger who make hundreds of millions per year may not care as much, but he doesn't play many tournaments so it may be someone else's for the taking.

I wouldn't dismiss it until we've seen how it plays out this year.
