I agree on both points. I would probably just pitch it on the flop to be honest vs someone you know is nitty. There arent many hands he can have that you really want to continue your hand against. If you didn't have your friend's read I can see you taking your line (with a river call).

if we're folding virtually any non A/K turn when he bets, i'm not sure if even calling the flop is +EV. im pretty sure he's continuing on the turn at least 80% of the time (and a lot of that remaining chance he won't is comprised of when we hit an A or K on the turn)
