are u all being serious? the guy was clearly in way over his head and wanted NO PART of the game, and you can't just give him his money back? [censored]'s sake what is this world coming to.

[/ QUOTE ]

WTF? He willingly registered for the tournament, so no it isn't clear at all that he wanted no part of the game. I don't see any coercion happening.

i'm bored with this so i'll keep it short, the guy checked to the river and timed out on hands so yes, it is clear.

i wouldnt have granted a deal. i would have told him to kiss my ass. you should be commended that you gave him anything at all. i would have rather taken a suckout loss than to give him money back. what a b#$#$.

Suppose you drop a 25k on Black looking to take a photo during the betting, then plan to move the chips off.
While you're fumbling for your camera, it comes up red and the dealer is taking your chips.
You start complaining saying you never meant to play the game. Should the casino give you your money back?

Morally? Absolutely not. If it came up black, the guy would have just shut up and taken the money. You think he'd go up to the PitBoss and explain he didn't mean to bet, then give back 25k?

This is no different. People make mistakes, but being an adult means taking responsibility for them. You don't try to guilt trip other people into letting you off easy.

Once you see that graph how can you believe anything that guy was saying. He said that only $800 of it was his and that it was his account, when obviously he had at least $3k of his own, or was playing on someone else's account/someone was playing on his account.

Yeah, that's what made it real sketchy. Plus (and I could be reaching here...) the part where he said he wished elky or stevebets wouldve sat... ?!?

While I personally pretty much only have experience of money going into the sites, I hear some people actually cash out some of the money they win...

Possible but I don't think it's very likely, over that few hands.

Edit: I'm a [censored]. I read the graph wrong but i still wouldn't believe anything this guy said cashing out would only have hurt him, he seems to have been a winning player and cashing out would have prevented him from moving up.

Not everyone 12-tables for 8 hours a day - 800 sngs can take a decent amount of time for lot of casual players.

It might not seem like it to a lot of the ballas here, but this could represent a lot of cash to someone grinding away part-time. If money's fairly tight for him, I can see why he'd cash out 2 thousand and just keep enough to be rolled for his regular limits.

Surely that's an urban legend.
