Default dealer Q

I play semi regular at this one local casino. Normally its an 8 table tournement self dealt until the FT when we get a house dealer. Last time i won it but i`d dealt 4 hours straight before the final table. I got paid and i got a taxi and as im walking out i got some pretty shady looks off a few people ( i think) because i didnt tip the FT dealer ( who was crap BTW)
Am i out of order?

Not tipping the dealer, if there was no money taken out for the dealers toke then yeah, you are out of line.

I think it's fine, if it's not a quality dealer then why tip? Did you get tipped for your 4 hours? If not then all is fair.

The dealer was crap and no i didnt get tipped for my stint.
Opinion`s divided.
i was hoping for something more conclusive.
So as it stands, i do the same thing today if it happens again. Which will probably see me run out of town by the National Union of Rubbish Dealers. (NURDs)

You have to consider what the repercussions of going against the norm may cost you.
Do the FT dealers usually get tipped?
Are you going to get run out of the tourney for not tipping? Is stiffing a FT dealer( even if they are bad) a +ev move long term?
A stiff never gets the best of it, at least in the long run.
