Re: qq hand
Well, it could be him thinking about waiting to raise a non-board pairing card. Either way, tanking then raising a complete blank always = the NUTZ. OP is button, no?

In the other hand, villain 4 bet, and CRed flop, which would mean that he would have to 4 bet PF with 67, and CR flop with a gutshot. Also, hero didn't 5 bet PF, so he underrepped his hand, and convinced villain he didn't have aces. This hand is WAYYYYYYY different. |

[/ QUOTE ] Not to bog down in details but in the other hand the villain had a flush draw to go with his gutshot. My basic point is that this is a fairly common situation. Hero flops set, villain takes weird, sometimes unconscionable, cheap street lines and hits his straight. Hero with top set gives too much action on the expensive streets and turns the villain's money losing play into a highly profitable play. Its a leak to give this much action when the nuts are clearly visible and the expensive street play indicates that the various villains are holding those nuts (and I am all too often guilty of springing this leak). |
