If it's confusing, we can nix it.

I think we have three options here:

1. Have very clear lines with no doubt what is or is not allowed
2. Have a set of rules that's less clear were mods use their judgment as to what is or isn't allowed and may have to investigate the user's intent
3. Have no rules.

Personally, I think 1 and 3 are vastly preferable to 2. I would suggest a list of words that are not allowed if we're going to go with #1.

Here is my list:

-PM/private message
-profile
-rb/rakeback
-http/.com/.org/.net ect.

I notice that you exclude coaching and teaching.

Are you protesting their inclusion?

Not exactly. I think they shouldn't be there so I didn't include it. My advise is that it not be included, but if you think they should then the list should include those or any other words. I'm not trying to spark drama or anything.

If you specifically think teaching shouldn't be allowed, I'll change mine right away.

As I've said, it's your decision. I will accept it and respect it. I'll also enforce it. I may disagree, but that's irrelevant after the decision is made. I was under the impression that after ED's post you were looking for imput on whether the rule should be "nixed." If that is not correct, you can disregard what I said.

yeah if coaching is no good then teaching is out too, otherwise everyone will realize what's acceptable, then everyone who coaches will have "teaching" and it's the same situation.

I deleted my location for now. I don't want to be seen as standing on the line while it's in the process of being redrawn.
