I think iodine solution would work well too. The only problem with this prank is these chemicals are fatal if you eat enough (like several grams of the pure compound, not going to die by eating food with stained hands or whatever). Obviously it's not going to happen, I mean who eats soap anyway, but there mere possibility could cause trouble.
