some people claim success with melatonin in shifting their sleep cycles. melatonin is widely available at any vitamin store. might want to do some googling.

There's no real rocket science to this atall imo, its just going to take a few days, thats all there is too it. Missing a night of sleep doesn't do much for the transition btw.

I work shift work where I work 6 AM to 6 PM 2-4 days, have 2-4 days off, and work 6 PM - 6 AM 2-4 days, repeat for a few months.

you can buy a certain bright light to help train yourself when to go to sleep, i forget what it's called though

[/ QUOTE ] I completely disagree. i usually miss a nights sleep, then sleep for like 10-12 hours, and then can go to bed whenever i want the next night anyway. in any case im sure the easy of any sleep transition depends greatly on the sleeper. |

i guess i'm pretty lucky in that i can totally sleep on command at any hour of the day, regardless of how much sleep i've had previously.

This doesn't work for me at all, during the summer I wouldn't be able to fall asleep until about 830am...so in the days before school started I tried staying up a full day, but that just resulted in me only sleeping for like 3 hours then waking up at like 2am and not falling asleep again til 8...first day of classes I had a class at 9, since then I haven't been able to sleep for more than a stretch of 3 hours at any time =/
