- Get AIM pokerbuddies, preferably someone who is better than you, ánd someone who is worse than you. Helping someone out with hands is a great way to brush up on your fundamentals, while people better than you can more easily spot some leaks of you that you have been overlooking, even when you went over the same hands at least 3 times.

How do I do that?

Good post btw

there used to be an AIM list floating around here somewhere, but I guess it got deleted. Cant find it anywhere. You can always just make a post in the brew, asking if someone is willing to discuss things over AIM.

Sigh, this sounds exactly like my downswing. Quality post, and I'm glad to say i've started doing a number of the things you mention to improve your mindset / game.

Very good read

Very good post. The biggest thing you mentioned that i am guilty of is opening up in the wrong spots.
Also i completely agree with the "take a break" advice. I recently had a 10k breakeven stretch which wasnt completely down to bad luck,I then had a 2 week break when i moved into university and had no internet, since then ive been playing better than ever because my head is so much clearer.

Yeah thanks for this. I should read this every time I run bad. I'm so guilty of some of the points you raised here, which much have contributed at least half of my recent downswing.
