Default database debate?

this seems like freedom of information to me, but meh.
I've heard of several people ask for PT dbases at some certain level. I haven't seen anyone say, "Yeah, give me a second and I'll email it" but it's not to say that doesn't happen. What I do see is a lot of abuse for even asking the q. I would love to import a couple of bases into my own and I would gladly share. I'm trying to do the online thing now and I can only see benefits to this. I've been playing cards a long time, but it was all B&M and home games. What are your opines? mods too plz.

Default Re: database debate?

Sharing observations is one thing, sharing databases is another entirely. Universalize the maxim and you have stuff like Poker Edge where the players do NONE of the legwork, pay some money, and instantly have stats on thousands upon thousands of players. Saving your own stats and the stats of your opponents and then making observations based upon your own legwork is fair imo, but having it handed to you on a silver platter is not.
