is it april 1st and someone didn't tell me?

this is just completely insane. why should a thread that serves NO PURPOSE WHATSOEVER exist on the front page in OOT?

What the hell is the point of deleting a locked thread?? OOT gets enough traffic that a locked thread is gone within an hour. The OP doesn't repost there stupid [censored] because they thought it didn't get posted the first time if you lock it. Locking it shows other posters what will get locked. Pretty much locking threads is way better than deleting them as long as it isn't spam or offensive.

a locked thread of this type is just an eyesore.

i think it's pretty much common sense that you don't make a thread entitled 'HAI GUYS JOIN MY FACEBOOK GROUP'. and if a guy is dumb enough to make that thread, he's gonna make it regardless of whether you locked a similar thread last tuesday.

LOL

I guess turning "Monthly come join my facebook group post" into "HAI GUYS JOIN MY FACEBOOK GROUP" is ok if you are trying to make a point.

are you being intentionally obtuse? i changed it for comedic effect, not to illustrate a point. yet they are pretty much the same anyway!

anyway, i'm out, will no doubt return tomorrow for more enjoyable mod forum discussion.
