I used to work right next to Boston Garden and sometimes for lunch I'd go to Hooters for wings and a beer on Tuesdays. (They have a lunch card where 6 punches equals a free lunch or something, and on Tuesday they punched it twice, so like every fourth or fifth lunch would be free).

Let me tell you, the girls that get the weekday 11am shift are not the ones that make the calendar.

Nights of Celtics games, that place was a zoo and the girls seemed hotter (or I was drunker?)

As for the wings, they weren't great, but they were good and the buffalo chicken sandwich was something I'd crave.

their wings suck. girls are very location dependent. vegas hooters by far the worst for girls, but it makes sense in that town as hot waitresses are vegas' calling card.

Typically, the closer you are to a major university, the better the waitresses look. It's not a given, but that's a good rule of thumb.

Hooters girls are overrated by everyone whose description of them does is not "mediocre" or worse.

FYP.

As for the wings, they are >mediocre...in the neighborhood of GOOD.

[/ QUOTE ]

They are overfried and covered with a sauce that is barely beyond tabasco.

Good wings are moist, hot, and tasty. Hooters barely gets the second one right.

I have not experienced a Hooters wing that wasn't moist. By hot do you mean temp or flavor? If temp, that's just poor service. If flavor, the "3 Mile Island" kicks pretty good. As far as "tasty"...that's relative.

So, when I say "in the neighborhood of GOOD" I simply mean they are better than the ones Domino's sends out with their pizzas, but not the greatest.

Also, when you order Wachussett Blueberry beer, they put blueberries in the bottom of the pint glass. The hallmark of a fine establishment by any measure.

I meant spicy and I don't think they are that spicy. However, I don't think very many wings are spicy probably due to a high tolerance. Every once in awhile, a hole-in-the-wall place sets my mouth on fire, but most chain places from my experience have a muted sense of spicy.

If Hooters had even halfway decent food, I'd be there much more often for sporting events. Instead, the food blows, so I usually hit a nice bar & grill instead. I want to like Hooters, but it's like they don't even try to make their food anything more than fast food quality.

Has anybody tried the wings at WOW cafe and wingery? I thought they were good but I hardly ever eat wings so I don't have much to compare them to.

Why pick Nottingham of all places?

Actually i retract that statement, Nottingham seems like exactly the sort of place for the UK's only Hooters restaurant.

Americans, how do the UK hooters girls compare to what you would find at the typical US Hooters restaurant?

Link To pics of UK Hooters girls (NSFWish - girls in bikinis..)

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that ours are below par to what you're used to based on the Beach Boys song, 'California Girls'.

I am fan of the hooters logo though. Good use of an owl.
