Default Racism in Slot machines

While working in a casino you hear alot of crazy stuff. Well one thing you hear more than others is that black people in the casino will come up to you and bitch that the slot machines are racist and the casino doesnt want black people to win money.

This is funny every time I hear it. So while on break some of the slot techs are talking about how this happens to them so frequently. One of them had such a good comeback that I had to share.

So a women comes up and says "these machines wont let me win today, the casino is racist against blacks."

The rep replies " Miss, today is Tuesday, we dont let Mexicans win on Tuesday. Sunday is our day to not let anyone black win."

Honestly I haven't heard this before. But my time around slot players is spent walking by as fast as possible (without looking like I'm running) from the poker room to get off the floor before one of them asks me a question.

You found that comeback hilarious enough to go home and post about it on a forum?

It wasn't that funny dude.

It's not only the comeback. It's mostly that people complain about MACHINES being racist. You dont think that's funny at all. It's not like they are kidding. It's people being dead serious.

I'm not _that_ surprised that you hear that sort of comment. There's no shortage of stupid people (of any ethnicity or other group) blaming prejudice for their failures. It does surprise and sadden me that you hear it a lot (specifically about the casino/slots).

And while that was an amazing comeback, it seems like the sort of thing that would risk firing / lawsuit.
