Default 5-10 Quest- halfway there

I lost $250k in a day less than a couple months ago and posted that I was going to cash out most of my online money and play 5-10 6 max, grinding out a profit and rebuilding my confidence. My goal was to win 100 buy ins in under 100k hands.

I followed through, and although I've been lazy logging hands, after about a month and a half I am halfway there as far as the profit mark (counting about 3k in profit from a short session on cake), and way ahead in bb/100.

I hope to complete my goal by the end of June and begin a new series of 6 max and HU challenges. My next plan is an Aba-style series of shots. I will leave $60k of my winnings on FTP and use $40k to play 10-20 6 max, with a 20k fallback for 5-10 if I lose. Once I've won $80k at 10-20, I will have 20 buy ins for 25-50 with a 20 buy-in fallback and move up. I will continue doing this for each level.

In these 18k hands, I have played a ton of different styles with greatly varying VPIPs and strategies from the blinds. Yet at the end of the day, I was shocked to see that almost every one of my stats was identical to those of shecantsayno in the PP 10-20 game. The only real difference is he 3-bet more from the sb than I did, accounting for the slight difference in PFR, sb VPIP, and sb defend. I think this discrepancy is the result of me adjusting to the tougher games. Although my stats for the past week resemble his even more closely than the above. Pretty cool.

I guess that means I am a cash game genius after all?

As someone who has made 77k in 64k hands at 5/10, you got a long, long way to go

Hah. I've been doing an hour and a half to two hours of cardio a day, in addition to lifting 4-5 days a week, every day for two weeks. I feel like I am in a more positive state of mind and my poker play has improved as a result of this. What about you pal, your daily workouts going good?

and the jungle gym is the fitness machine of the future.

Our differences aside, Jeff, you've inspired me to take on a similar experiment in getting a large sample at 5/10 before moving up with a more than healthy enough bankroll. You seem to be in a very good mode from the tone of your post and thats the kind of mood I need to get myself back in. Thank you.
