Game of Chicken
With the blinds $300-$600 Aaron Been raises raises to $900 and Steve Sung goes into the tank. After about a minute Sung reraises to $3,000. Been then goes into deep thought and pushes all in. Sung returns to the tank for almost a full three mintues. He finally mucks his hand giving Been a $32,000 to $8,000 chip lead

lol raise/foldaments

that still seems unfair but I'm too burnt out from studying to attempt any math here (umm... this does not bode well for my final tomorrow). am I wrong?

Adam probably left out the part where the guy who wins the qualifier also gets 2500 back. That way they both pay 2500 to play a HU sat to a 5k tourney.

Only sounds fair to me if winner also got 2.5k back. So, essentially they play a 2.5k HU SNG for a seat in the 5k tourney.

right. I was thinking it was wrong because I thought the fair thing to do would just be to play a $0 satellite to see who was allowed to pay $5000 to buyin.

Been Scores
On a flop of QJ2 Aaron Been bets $10,000. Steve Sung thinks for a moment then calls. This puts all of Sung's chip at risk and he flips over J10. Been shows Q7 and the turn and river cards are dealt QA. Been evens the score and the two players are now on a short break with things all tied up at 1 - 1

O SNAP. PUTTING ALL THE CHIPS AT RISK SHIP IT CRUCIAL

Think there's a market for poker reporting that tells the action without saying that people think before every bet?
