why stiff legged?

Meh. Its a precursor for PL style squats along with heavy good mornings. Maybe correlated?

Did first HIIT session, only 10 minutes. (3 minute warmup, 30 second sprint/30 second recover x 4, 3 minute cooldown)

Really wasted myself on the first sprint and was just sucking air after the fourth one. The plan is to do 5 sprint/recover periods next time and then 6 et cetera.

Food yesterday was 2076 calories with a 40/37/23 fat/carb/protein breakdown. (117g protein) But boy were those chips, bacon double cheeseburger, pizza and cookies tasty.

1x7x55
1x5x55
1x4x55

Dumbbell Lunges

1x10x90
1x8x90
1x4x90

Decline Sit Ups

2x12
1x6

Comment: Started feeling it in my lower back again on the 3rd set. Anyone know if that's normal or what?

Bench Press

1x4x95
1x3x95

Lateral Pulldowns

2x8x80

Second HIIT session, 11 minutes. Did a lot better by not killing myself in the first 30 seconds when it all seems so easy.

Ate too much yesterday, (~2900 calories), going to be a lot harder to do that today when I get up at 1:30pm.

Worked out today.

Lateral Pulldowns

3x8x80

Comment: Guess I have to do more weight now.

Bench Press

1x6x95
1x5x95
1x4x95

Deadlift

3x8x95

Comment: Time for more weight... why does noone unrack the bars on the floor? There were four bars out, two with 45's on each side and two with 10's on each side.

Standing Military Press

1x8x55
1x5x55
1x4x55

Decline Sit Ups

3x12

Comment: Going to hold a 10 pound plate next time.

Dumbbell Lunges

1x8x90

Comment: Felt bad after first set, when I picked up the weights for the second set my left hand was hurting and I felt sick so I just packed it in.

Didn't HIIT yesterday but played some tennis today so didn't feel too bad about it. Cinco de Mayo nutrition is um not so good.

Bench Press

1x6x95
1x4x95
1x3x95

Comment: What a crappy way to start a workout, I blame tennis right before with no food in between.

Dumbbell Lunges

1x12x90
1x10x90
1x8x90

Comment: Much better. Guess I have to do more weight.

Military Press

1x8x55
1x6x55
1x2x55

Comment: Got distracted by goofballs in rack next to me. Thought the right plate was slipping but it looked fine when I put it down. Oh well.

Deadlifts

2x8x115

Comment: Someone asked how many more sets I had, and I had 2 but I said 1 and didn't want to be like uh actually. Going to try 135 next time, which will be convenient since that's usually all set up before I get there.

hey scary,

question about your lunges cuz they seem way out of proportion to the rest of your lifts...you are holding a 90lb dumbbell in each hand and doing 12 forward lunges for each leg?

2 45's to be sure. I asked in Thremp's thread if it was standard just to use the 1 dumbbell weight, so I'll change that in future updates.

And no I alternate, so a 1x12 is 6 on the left leg and 6 on the right leg, left/right/left/right/...

Edit: So how many sets/reps should I be doing lunging do people think? I don't think I could manage sets longer than say 16 repetitions. (which is 8 each leg)
