Default $16 DS: HU much deeper than usual

Double Shootout to the $650 WSOP satellite, this is the first table. I'm assuming this is okay. Villain is a donk [censored] who will randomly decide you don't have anything and try daring bluffs.

I think I 3-bet the flop usually.

Yuck, I hate every street. Raise preflop with the intention of getting allin on the flop if you hit top pair. As played, call the flop and check the turn - this will control the size of the pot as well as get value when he tries "daring bluffs"

I like pretty much every street. Nice hand.

Is it common to be this deep at the end of these DS's??

this is bad, what handsome said. check the turn for pot control/to induce bluffs. raising/betting every street and then trying to pick off a bluff is horrible

okay, I must not be understanding this right.

Why is it so imperative to raise pf?

Why should he check the turn for "pot control" reasons. This board is so draw heavy. Plus, it's a large pot by the turn. I hate giving a free card here.
