Meh 3rd nut flush is roughly 50/50 against any other flush.

[/ QUOTE ]

What do you mean by this?

[/ QUOTE ]

Give villain two random clubs, voilá!

[/ QUOTE ]

Still not following. How are you calculating the 50/50 math??

[/ QUOTE ]

kc qc 3c 5c Tc are dead.
Flushes that are beating you a2,4,6,7,8,9,j j2,4,6,7,8,9 =13 combos

Flushes you are beating 92,4,6,7,8, 82,4,6,7 72,4,6 62,4 2,4 =15

You see 5 clubs. There are 8 left. Possible combinations that beat you are:

A2, A4, A6, A7, A8, A9, AJ,
J2, J4, J6, J7, J8, J9,

And combinations that don't beat you are:

92, 94, 96, 97, 98
82, 84, 86, 87
72, 74, 76,
62, 64,
42

13 you lose, 15 you win. Roughly 50/50.

[/ QUOTE ]

alright. thanks

Am I a total nit if I fold this preflop?

[/ QUOTE ]

No that's fine, probably more 2p2'ers than not would just fold. I don't think it matters either way.

[ QUOTE ]
Just call the river - no reason to get stacked on the first hand when you (presumably) have a skill edge you can parlay later

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't have a skill edge.

i dont think anyone could criticise you for folding Tc5c pre, especially on the first hand of an SNG.

i think its simple poker theory - don't play speculative hands OOP as it gets you into tricky situations like this.

I fold Preflop, if it's more of a family pot I might limp.
