Default Missed Flight - What Is Reasonable Amount To Pay

Here is the dilemma. On a recent trip four of us were flying into Vegas, then flying from vegas to phoenix to visit a friend at arizona state, then flying from phoenix back home. No one wanted to book the tickets or plan the trip and my girlfriends roommate who is a spoiled bitch was on my case to do it. so i booked the trip for four of us and printed the times of the flights, and our hotel reservation at mandalay bay.

Well we arrive at mandalay bay, get upgraded to the 2 bedroom king size beds with two jacuzzis, basically the suite on the ends of mandalay bay with a 270 degree view looking down the strip, and no one has had to plan or worry about anything.

Well i take a quick look to see when our flight leaves vegas and see 9:30, or so i thought. the incoming flight to vegas departed at 9:30, and our arrival time to phoenix was 9:30, however the flight was actually at 8:30. i realized this at 7:45 when we left the hotel room and i called my buddy to have him pick us up in phoenix. I told everyone except the spoiled bitch not wanting to hear the wrath, and we arrived at the airport at 8:05 just missing the mandatory 30 minutes prior to your flight you have to have your bags checked in.

well flights to phoenix from vegas are not hard to come by and i booked one at 9:30 as soon as posisble to try to avoid dealing with the roommate, and putting the rest of the party at ease.

i am wondering since i did not want to be fully responsible of planning the trip in the first place and only one person asked me what time the flight was, and none asked to see the itinerary i printed, what % should i be required to pay.

there are four of us so what percentage of the total should i be responsible for. i guessed 40% leaving everyone else at 20% 20% and 20%.

obviously i would do some things different the next time i have to do this.

any thoughts on a percentage.

Errr....what?

If you mean a flight-change fee, anyone that wants to get home pays their own.

You should really pay it all in this case I think.

october 20
depart minneapolis at 9:30.
arrive vegas 10:30

october 25
depart vegas 8:30
arrive phoenix 9:30.

this is the flight we had just missed. and had caught a later one that departed vegas at 9;30. we could not get any refund on the missed flight etc. but on the itinerary the flights were all listed consectutively, and i was on two hours of sleep and saw too many 9:30's and thought that is when our initial flight was. however it was 8:30.

october 30
depart phoenix 7
arrive minneapolis 11

Did everyone already have their ticket or some way of checking what time the flight left themself? If not then I'd say you're paying it all.

edit: also what kind of money are we talking here?

What is the purpose of repeating this post? Just wait till the OP answers the question.

If you must know, the purpose was to agree with the poster above me that if no one else knew what time the flight left he should pay the whole shot.

Is that OK with you?

all tickets were etickets and were picked up at the airport the day of so no hard copies. all knew where the trip itinerary printed from the travelsite with all of this information was located. only one asked what time it was. the money is not the concern of my post, although if i did not have to pay for it all would be a plus. i am just curious if this were an insurance company, etc. what % liable would i be.
