Default KQs line check

debatable on all streets

two of the callers pre are regs and BB is a 15/3 i don't recognize but who seems to suck.

SB is 23/16/4 and is generally solid. he timed down hardcore before checking flop and before calling my bet

EDIT: converter error, guy limped utg, there was no small blind this hand. i'll edit the hand below.

No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (5 handed)

Hero ($448)
MP ($642.60)
Button ($459.80)
BB ($412.50)
UTG ($1461)

Preflop: Hero is MP with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $4.
UTG calls $4, Hero raises to $16, 1 fold, Button calls $16, BB calls $12, UTG calls $12.

Flop: ($64) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $46, Button folds, SB calls $46, BB folds.

Turn: ($156) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($156) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets $100, Hero calls $100.

Final Pot: $356

I like it, although I probably couldn't resist betting the turn.

ya i usually just bet turn, but I would double barrel that card alot too. River looks like a sexy spot for a minraise bet/fold...anyone like that?

nvm. i misread op, if villain is solid just call the river as played.

:grunch:

he rarely has Q9 pf and would prob. be c/r'ing the flop looking to get it in vs. over pairs/AQ etc. a set may c/c the flop and then have whiffed a turn c/r since the King is a good second barreling card... ditto for JT on the turn, possibly. he's letting a big hand get checked through if he is doing that so any read of the likelyhood he gets tricky in that spot would be nice, but maybe thats what the pause on the flop means... 'what do I do with a set or JT'.

i may just call the river regardless since your turn check may look weak to him but your flop bet looks strong so there's some mixed messages getting sent here. tough spot, i prob. call the river but if i think he sees my flop bet as strong and doesn't think ill just take a stab into three others since i was pf raiser i would give him credit for JT or a tricky set, tho if he doesn't get tricky i'd think he has JT a lot, since he's solid. if you're read may be suspect about him being solid i snap call river and feel fine about it.

Bet fold turn? You lose value from Q9 and chops.

If you're checking turn for pot control, why not fold river? You're risking the same on the turn assuming you'd bet/fold as you are on the river by calling (but he's not value-betting worse.

edit: bb is a NIT, has a set.
